Before you start
Install in 6 steps
-
Download the app
Open this page on your phone and tap Download for Android. If Chrome asks whether to keep the file, tap Download anyway.
-
Open the file
When the download finishes, tap Open in the message at the bottom of the screen. If you missed it, open your Files or Downloads app and tap PrintFlow.apk.
-
Allow the install
The first time, Android says installs from this source aren't allowed. Tap Settings, switch on Allow from this source, then press back.
This is normal. The PrintFlow app is installed directly from PrintFlow rather than from the Play Store, so Android asks once.
-
Tap Install
If Google Play Protect shows a warning, tap More details, then Install anyway. If it offers to scan the app, you can let it.
-
Open PrintFlow and sign in
Find the PrintFlow icon on your home screen or in your app list. Sign in with the email address and temporary password from your admin.
-
Allow notifications
When the app asks, tap Allow. This is how you hear about new jobs, status changes, messages and approvals.
After you sign in
- Change your password. Tap your initials at the top right, then My account → Change Password.
- Updates are automatic. Improvements arrive by themselves the next time you open the app. Only reinstall when your admin asks you to.
- Keep your login to yourself. Everything you do in the app is recorded under your name.
Make sure alerts arrive
Some phones stop apps in the background to save battery, which can delay or block alerts. If alerts don't come through, change these settings once:
TECNO, Infinix, itel
Settings → Apps → PrintFlow → Battery (or Power saving): choose No restrictions or turn off power saving for PrintFlow. Under App launch (or Auto-start), allow PrintFlow to start and run in the background.
Samsung
Settings → Apps → PrintFlow → Battery: choose Unrestricted. Also check that PrintFlow isn't listed under Settings → Battery → Background usage limits → Sleeping apps.
Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO
Settings → Apps → Manage apps → PrintFlow: turn on Autostart, and set Battery saver to No restrictions.
Oppo, Realme, Vivo and other phones
Open Settings → Apps → PrintFlow. Look for Battery, Background activity or Auto-launch, and allow PrintFlow to run in the background without restrictions.
Check notifications are switched on
Settings → Apps → PrintFlow → Notifications: make sure they're allowed, and that the Alerts category is switched on.
Using an iPhone?
The PrintFlow app is for Android. On an iPhone, open www.printflowke.app in Safari and sign in with the same details.
To keep it on your home screen, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
Having trouble?
"App not installed"
Free up some storage space and try again. If an older copy of PrintFlow is on the phone and the problem continues, uninstall it first, then install the new download.
The install was blocked
Go back to step 3 and switch on Allow from this source for the app you downloaded with (usually Chrome or Files). For a Play Protect warning, tap More details → Install anyway.
I can't sign in
Check the email address is typed exactly as your admin sent it, and that the password matches, including capital letters and dashes. If it still fails, ask your admin to reset your password. They can do it in a few seconds.
The app says it can't connect
PrintFlow needs the internet to work. Check your Wi-Fi or mobile data, then tap Try again.
I'm not getting alerts
Follow Make sure alerts arrive above for your phone brand. Then sign out and sign back in once so the app registers your phone again.
I got a new phone
Install PrintFlow on the new phone with the same steps and sign in with your usual email and password. Nothing is stored on the phone itself, so you won't lose any work.
